Tax Preparation & Review

  • Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and S-corporations.
  • Identify and research tax issues, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Tax Consulting

  • Advise clients on tax planning opportunities, entity selection, and business structure.
  • Provide proactive tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Stay current on new tax developments and communicate relevant changes to clients.

Client Management

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client communications and deliverables.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff and interns.
  • Review work papers and provide constructive feedback.
  • Aid in workflow management to ensure engagement deadlines are met.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required); Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation, or CPA eligibility (preferred).
  • Licensure: Active Georgia CPA license (preferred), or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of recent experience in a public accounting firm (required).
  • Experience: Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of U.S. tax code and reporting requirements; Proficiency in tax preparation software; Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting platforms (QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities; High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
