Tax Preparation & Review
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and S-corporations.
- Identify and research tax issues, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Tax Consulting
- Advise clients on tax planning opportunities, entity selection, and business structure.
- Provide proactive tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Stay current on new tax developments and communicate relevant changes to clients.
Client Management
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client communications and deliverables.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations as needed.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior staff and interns.
- Review work papers and provide constructive feedback.
- Aid in workflow management to ensure engagement deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required); Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation, or CPA eligibility (preferred).
- Licensure: Active Georgia CPA license (preferred), or actively pursuing CPA licensure.
- Experience: 2-5 years of recent experience in a public accounting firm (required).
- Experience: Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of U.S. tax code and reporting requirements; Proficiency in tax preparation software; Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting platforms (QuickBooks, etc.).
- Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; Strong analytical, organizational, and project management abilities; High degree of professionalism, integrity, and discretion.
