Senior Tax Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Advises clients on the tax aspects of sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions
• Structures and negotiates tax provisions in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic transactions
• Counsels clients on partnership and corporate tax matters
• Advise on capital markets, private equity and financing transactions
• Drafts and negotiates transactional documentation from a tax perspective
• Works directly with clients to develop practical and commercially focused tax solutions
• Collaborates with corporate, finance and private equity teams on complex transactions
• Mentors junior associates and takes a leading role on transaction teams

Who You Are

• 6th–9th year associate
• Significant experience in transactional tax matters
• Experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, partnership transactions and financing transactions
• Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage complex matters and maintain direct client relationships
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• LL.M. in Taxation preferred but not required
