About the role
Prosperity Partners is a Chicago-based public accounting firm offering tax, accounting, and personal finance services. We are seeking an energetic tax professional to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Support the firm’s practice by providing tax preparation and consulting services to clients.
- Prepare workpapers and research complex tax issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding tax matters.
- Work in a deadline-driven environment with demanding clients.
Requirements
- A strong work ethic and exceptional leadership qualities.
- At least three years of public accounting experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
Qualifications
- An accounting degree from an accredited four-year university.
- CPA designation or progress towards passing the exam.
- Experience preparing tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Corporations, and Trusts.
- Proven understanding of complex accounting entries.
- Self-management, assignment prioritization, and client interaction skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complicated matters to clients or government agencies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
- An enthusiasm for technical topics and a willingness to learn through research, continuing professional education (CPE), and discussions with peers.
- A positive attitude and respect for others.
- A self-motivated individual who seeks new projects and recognizes their own strengths and weaknesses.
- The availability to work in the office at least three days per week.

- Competitive salary range of $90,000 USD - $120,000 USD.
