About the role
Prosperity Partners is a Chicago-based public accounting firm providing tax, accounting, and personal finance services to dynamic businesses, high net-worth individuals, and family offices. We are seeking an energetic tax professional to join our growing team.
Responsibilities
- Support the firm’s practice by providing tax preparation and consulting services to clients.
- Prepare workpapers and research complex tax issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.
- Work in a deadline-driven environment with demanding clients.
Requirements
- A minimum of three years' public accounting experience.
- A strong work ethic and exceptional leadership qualities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Accounting degree from an accredited four-year university.
- CPA designation or progress towards passing the exam.
- Experience preparing tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Corporations, and Trusts.
- Proven understanding of complex accounting entries.
- Self-management, prioritization of assignments, and client interaction skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complicated matters to clients or government agencies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
- An enthusiasm for technical topics and a willingness to learn through research, continuing professional education (CPE), and discussions with peers.
- A positive attitude and a respectful work environment.
- A self-motivated individual who seeks new projects and recognizes their own strengths and weaknesses.
- The availability to work in the office at least 3 days per week.

- Ability to self-manage, prioritize assignments, and interface with clients.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to communicate complicated matters to clients or government agencies.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to meet deadlines and to multi-task.
- An enthusiasm for technical topics and interested in learning opportunities via research, CPE, and discussions with peers.
- Contributes to an established culture of positivity and respect.
- A self-motivated to seek new projects.
- Recognizes strengths and weaknesses and appreciates peer feedback.
- The availability to work in the office at least 3 days per week.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in tax law and accounting principles.
- Strong interpersonal and client relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of tax software and tools.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $90,000 USD - $120,000 USD.
