About the role

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a team of tax associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Review and prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Communicate with clients to provide expert tax advice and answer any questions they may have.
• Assist with tax planning and strategy development to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments within the firm to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and lead a team of tax associates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax preparation software.
