Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a team of tax associates, providing guidance and support as needed
- Review and prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations
- Communicate with clients to provide expert tax advice and answer any questions they may have
- Assist with tax planning and strategy development to minimize tax liabilities for clients
- Participate in training and development programs to stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments within the firm to ensure seamless service delivery to clients
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- CPA certification preferred
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage and lead a team of tax associates
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and tax preparation software
