About the role

Senior Associates in our Alternative Investment Funds practice work directly with management on tax planning, consulting, and compliance for complex clients, including hedge funds, private equity, real estate, fund of funds, and venture capital.

  • Review and prepare tax returns.
  • Build technical knowledge of tax planning, consulting, and compliance for national and foreign entities through formal and on-the-job training.
  • Work with management to identify and research complex client issues.
  • Provide regular updates to clients.
  • Assist in project management of compliance and consulting engagements.
  • Supervise and participate in the professional development of Associates and Interns.
  • Receive formal tax training related to Alternative Investment Funds, on-the-job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and opportunities for additional training through internal and external resources.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of relevant tax experience.
  • Bachelor’s and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD).
  • Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree (preferred).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Advanced credential or desire to obtain one allowing for IRS client representation (e.g., CPA, JD).
  • Self-starter with the initiative to seek opportunities and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Proficient use of technology.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

For individuals hired to work in New York City, the expected salary range for this role is $90,000 to $155,400. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and skill set.
