Senior Tax Accountant (Remote)

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, hard-working, and technologically proficient, with a passion for supporting entrepreneurial businesses.This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, boutique-sized firm that values growth, innovation, and work-life balance. All positions are fully remote with long-term work-from-home arrangements, and busy season hours are capped at a maximum of 55 hours per week. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare personal and business tax returns for clients across multiple statesSupport tax planning strategies and provide advice to optimize clients' tax positionsComplete, review, and analyze tax documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulationsReview returns and workpapers prepared by tax staff and provide constructive feedbackManage assigned client engagements and communicate directly with clients throughout the yearAssist in resolving back tax issues and IRS notices as neededParticipate in tax kick-off meetings and client onboarding calls REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSCPA or EA CertificationMinimum 3 years of public accounting or tax experience working with multiple clientsProven experience preparing individual and business tax returnsWorking knowledge of tax planning and multi-state tax issuesBachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Business, or related fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with tax software and ability to develop advanced technical skillsAbility to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1+ year of remote work experienceExperience working with small business / service-based business clients BENEFITSFully remote work arrangementBusy season hours capped at 55 per weekHealth Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA)401(k) PlanPaid Time OffOngoing Professional Development Opportunities Apply today to learn more!
