Senior Tax Accountant

Basic Qualifications

• 4 years experience working with state income tax laws and procedures.
• 4 years experience working on preparing state C-Corp income tax returns.
• Ability to perform moderately complex tax research and correctly interpret tax law.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel and Word (features include: VLookup, Pivot Tables, Formulas, Multiple Worksheets, Tables, Templates, etc.).
• A high level of accuracy, attention to details, and ability to work with a team and independently with little guidance.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with peers, customers, and managers.

Job Description

We're seeking a tax accountant who would like to join a large corporate organization and grow your skills and knowledge in tax accounting and overall business. This Role Will Be Responsible For The Following:

• Prepare and/or review state income tax filings of the corporation.
• Estimate state income tax liabilities of the corporation.
• Perform state and local tax research regarding changing state income tax rules, special projects, studies, etc.
• Perform state income tax audits for the corporation's state tax returns.
• Analyze state tax information.

Desired Skills

• CPA and/or Masters Degree in Tax, Accounting, or related discipline
• 3+ years experience with a Big Four or large public accounting firm
• State audit experience
• Familiarity with ASC 740 and SARBOX
• Familiarity with Thomson Reuters OneSource and CorpTax
• Familiarity with AI, Alteryx and/or dashboards

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
