About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic and high-performing team. This is a permanent position that will play a critical role in managing and driving the success of our tax operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Handle state and local tax compliance and advisory services.
- Analyze tax regulations and recommend strategies that minimize tax liability.
- Provide clients with 1040 and 1065 tax experience.
- Keep track of industry trends and changes in tax law, and communicate those findings to the team.
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
- Develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients.
- Interact with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise.
- Maintain and cultivate client relationships to ensure client satisfaction.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax role with a public accounting firm or a corporate tax department.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.
- CPA or EA license is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in state and local tax, 1040 and 1065 tax.
- Solid understanding and experience with federal and state tax compliance, tax planning, tax analysis, and tax research.
- Strong accounting and analytical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously.
