About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a seasoned software professional to join our team as a System Software Engineer specializing in CUDA Driver. This role requires a deep understanding of device drivers and exceptional C/C++ skills.
Responsibilities
- Deliver features and improvements to enhance the performance of NVIDIA hardware across various computational workloads including deep learning, scientific computation, data science, self-driving cars, video games, and virtual reality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new features and improvements to CUDA APIs and programming model.
- Write and debug multithreaded programs, ensuring they are elegant and maintainable.
- Evangelize, architect, and implement new features while contributing to the future direction of CUDA.
- Develop code for multiple operating systems, including Linux and Windows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 7 years of related development experience (open for multiple positions with varying experience levels).
- Experience driving projects across multiple teams and working with large codebases.
- Experience with operating system interfaces for threads, process control, and virtual memory.
- Experience writing and debugging multithreaded programs.
- Good written communication and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Strong C and C++ programming skills.
- Understanding of system level architecture, including interconnects, memory hierarchy, interrupts, and memory-mapped IO.
- Background with kernel mode development.
Benefits
The position offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $184,000 - $287,500, along with equity and benefits. Applications are accepted until July 1, 2026.
