Senior Systems Engineering Manager, Corporate IT
How you’ll make a difference
- Build and scale the IT Systems organization: Own organizational design for the IT Systems team. As the team grows, establish the right team topology, define spans of control, and create clear ownership areas. Recruit, develop, and retain engineers and engineering leaders across SaaS systems administration, identity and access management, endpoint management, and infrastructure.
- Drive team performance and delivery: Set clear goals and OKRs, establish healthy team rhythms, and create an environment where engineers are focused, unblocked, and delivering high-quality outcomes consistently. Establish processes that scale—project intake, incident management, change management, and retrospectives—and evolve them as the organization matures.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders: Work closely with Security, Risk and Trust, People Operations, Finance, and Business Operations to understand needs, prioritize effectively, and align technical investments to company goals. Serve as the senior IT engineering voice in cross-functional planning forums.
- Set technical direction and engineering standards: Define the technical vision and roadmap for the IT Systems team, promoting best practices in reliability, security, scalability, and operational excellence. Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical investment across identity, endpoint, SaaS, and networking domains.
- Champion automation and efficiency: Drive the adoption of automation to reduce toil, improve IT service delivery, and enable Klaviyo’s teams to operate at scale across our global footprint.
- Represent your organization with clarity: Communicate progress, blockers, and strategy to senior leadership and cross-functional partners. Advocate for the resources your teams need.
