About the Department
Motorola Solutions is a world leader in public safety land mobile radio communications systems with an impressive heritage of technological innovations and a global base of installed systems. The group’s main business is the implementation of mission-critical digital land mobile radio communication systems for Government and Public Safety Communication customers.
The Post-Sale Systems Engineering team is the technical lifeblood of the Systems Integration organization. Our engineers design and implement the innovative communications solutions that make a difference in “Solving for Safer”. As the solution architect and technical consulting lead, the Systems Engineering team has end-to-end design, technology consultancy, and implementation responsibility for all post-sale project engagements. The team delivers customer-driven, world-class, leading-edge, end-to-end solutions that rise to the challenges of our First Responder and Government customers.
The Engineering team concentrates on the following mission-critical communications technologies at all levels of complexity (from small municipal systems to large metropolitan and state-wide solutions):
- Public safety grade mobile voice and data communications networks
- Advanced mobile devices
- Public safety mobile broadband networks and devices (LTE)
- Integrated Command and Control (911 dispatch consoles, advanced video surveillance, and other public safety applications)
- Microwave, Fiber, and other backhaul connection topologies
The work is meaningful, impactful, and leading edge. You will be part of a dynamic cross-functional client-facing team including sales, system integrators, product engineers, third-party vendors, project managers, and senior systems engineers—often on large and highly-visible, multi-million dollar engagements.
