Senior Systems Engineer (Southeast Region) - Hybrid Cloud Storage

About the role

This role will serve as a trusted technical advisor across the sales cycle, guiding customers through discovery, solution design, and architecture validation for hybrid cloud and unstructured data environments. The position will partner closely with account teams to shape technical strategy, support complex pre-sales engagements, and build credibility with infrastructure and application stakeholders. Success in this role will come from translating business and technical requirements into practical architectures that support file services, AI/ML workloads, and multi-site collaboration.

Location

Remote — US-based candidates only; no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation

$235,000 – $265,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical relationship throughout the sales cycle, from discovery to architecture sign-off
• Collaborate with account teams to qualify deals and develop technical strategies for unstructured data
• Design and validate solutions for workloads including file services and AI/ML
• Create architectures that facilitate multi-site collaboration and cloud integration
• Establish credibility with infrastructure teams and application owners
• Develop and maintain technical resources such as reference architectures and solution briefs

Qualifications

• 6+ years in a customer-facing technical role such as Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Pre-Sales Engineer at a software, storage, or technology company
• Proven track record leading complex pre-sales engagements with measurable results
• Strong knowledge of enterprise storage, file systems, and unstructured data management for on-prem and cloud environments
• Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and multi-cloud data management
• Ability to convert customer needs into actionable solution designs
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences
