Senior Systems Engineer (Servers/OS) with Security Clearance

About the Role

As a Technical Leader, you will lead and participate in the delivery of enterprise-scale solutions, including complex operating systems, systems software planning and implementation, and production support activities. You will conduct market research, evaluate new technologies, and interface with contractor, government personnel, and vendors to ensure clarity, alignment, and accountability in planning and executing tasks. Additionally, you will provide security operations support for cybersecurity accreditation under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) continuous monitoring process and maintain a current understanding of emerging technologies in cloud services and relevant application and system technologies. This role also involves writing, editing, and preparing graphical presentations of technical information.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in complex operating systems, systems software planning, implementation, and production support activities.
• Conduct market research and evaluate new technologies to inform planning and implementation.
• Interface with contractor, government personnel, and vendors to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Provide security operations support for cybersecurity accreditation under the RMF continuous monitoring process.
• Maintain a current understanding of emerging technologies in cloud services and relevant application and system technologies.
• Write, edit, and prepare graphical presentations of technical information.

Requirements

• Eligibility and adjudication for TS/SCI clearance level at contract start.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in operating computer systems.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in engineering data centers.
• Broad experience with virtualized environments and a variety of technologies supporting computing capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service across all organizational levels.
• Experience with Windows Server, VMware, and system-level applications.
• Familiarity with cloud-based services and environments (e.g., MS Azure, AWS DevOps, Kubernetes, clusters, containers).
• Minimum of CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Meet the requirements of an IAT II per DoD 8570.01-M.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology or a related field.
• Equivalent technical certifications or demonstrable experience will be considered.
• Preferred: MS Azure Role-based certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Solutions Architect Expert).
• Preferred: VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications.
