About the role
The Operations and Mission Analysis department at Raytheon supports customer-focused mission modeling and simulation activities for all customer areas. Our teams develop, analyze, and create flexible integration solutions across various product areas such as sensors, effectors, command and control, logistics, and operations. They also develop tools and methods to evaluate campaign, mission, and system-level analysis and visualizations based on customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the development and implementation of model-based solutions to support mission trade studies using mission and engagement level simulations.
- Responsible for the development and integration of variable-fidelity computer models and simulations that effectively capture system and system of systems effects in complex threat environments.
- Modeling of system and mission kill chains using Government, Commercial, and/or Raytheon simulation tools.
- Executing mission system simulations and analyzing their results.
- Development of metrics and results products that communicate the chain of events that led to an action.
- Participate in technical reviews with internal and external customers.
- Contribute and collaborate in a team environment, receiving input from the program, external customers, or team experts, and work on projects, as you determine, develop, and implement analytic approaches that will generate the supporting data to inform programmatic decisions.
Requirements
- You must have a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience working with scripting languages including Python, Bash, or other common languages.
- Experience working with scientific computing environments such as MATLAB.
- Experience in Sensors (RADARS, EOIR, etc.), Network Communications, Weapons/Effects (Missiles, Projectiles), Command & Control, and/or Resource Management.
- Experience with standard government modeling tools including AFSIM, Suppressor, Brawler, or similar tools.
- Experience with Military Operations Analysis, Modeling & Simulation experience in the defense industry, and/or data analysis & visualization.
- An active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Familiar with performing data analysis and statistics with large volumes of data.
- Familiar with Numerical Optimization Techniques, Analysis of Alternatives, or Design of Experiments.
- Experience providing briefs and presentations to US government customers.
- An Active Top-Secret Clearance.
