Senior Systems Engineer (Identity and Access)

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Identity and Access) to join the team of a leader in the Transportation space. This role will own identity and access management operations that help keep people, applications, and endpoints securely connected across a modern enterprise environment. The position will focus on lifecycle access controls, single sign-on enablement, and automation that improves efficiency, governance, and user experience. You will partner closely with security and IT stakeholders to strengthen compliance, reduce manual work, and support reliable access to core business systems. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $115,200 – $144,000 annually Responsibilities Design and maintain identity and access management lifecycle solutions Administer Okta and related directory services Manage collaboration tools including Google Workspace and Slack Oversee endpoint management using Jamf and Intune Automate workflows for user provisioning and access Establish role-based access controls and entitlement reviews Lead SSO onboarding for new SaaS applications Collaborate with security teams to integrate best practices Author technical documentation and compliance policies Provide leadership and support for complex IT operations Qualifications 5+ years of IAM systems engineering experience Deep mastery of Okta configuration and integration Strong knowledge of IAM protocols like SAML, SCIM, OAuth, and OIDC Experience scripting for automation, including Python, Bash, or PowerShell Proven track record managing SaaS tools like Google Workspace and Slack Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Compliance-focused mindset for navigating regulated industries Benefits Medical and dental coverage Flexible time off policies Bonus and equity opportunities Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
