Senior Systems Engineer-Development

About the Role

This position supports development program activities for the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Missile Seeker program, including understanding system requirements, creating and reviewing reports, and streamlining processes. Responsibilities

• Create and review systems requirements, including software, component, subsystem, and operational concepts.
• Develop system test plans, procedures, and reports.
• Monitor and report metrics such as System Technical Performance Measures.
• Manage and participate in trade studies, peer reviews, and customer meetings.
• Aid in the development and production of complex electro/mechanical systems, including requirements development, integration, test, verification & validation, and qualification.
• Communicate effectively with peers, senior leadership, and other functional disciplines such as Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Project Management Officers.
• Perform systems engineering activities across the development cycle, including analysis, decomposition, derivation, and allocation of requirements; system modeling & simulation; system design & development; and system integration & test.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science with at least 4 years of applicable experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting proposal development activities, including proposal text development, cost and schedule estimating, and presentation activities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Experience developing viable concept solutions, identifying and tracking technical risks, and leading technical teams.
• Experience allocating requirements to engineering disciplines.
• Experience preparing and delivering technical presentations internally and with customers.
• Experience supporting test equipment requirements, design, and validation activities.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $97,008 - $164,914. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
