Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

MTSI is seeking Senior Systems Engineer with extensive Command and Control (C2) and operational experience to support a key joint development program. The ideal candidate has a strong background in military operations and joint C2 systems. This posting is for pipeline needs to support expected future growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead C2‑focused systems engineering activities.
• Translate operational requirements into technical architectures, workflows, data flows, and system designs.
• Work closely with operators, commanders, and mission stakeholders to ensure solutions align with real‑world operational needs.
• Support integration of C2 capabilities across joint development efforts.
• Develop operational CONOPS, mission threads, and system-level assessments for joint kill chain and fires coordination.
• Provide expertise in cross‑domain operational planning, interoperability, and multi‑agency mission execution.

Requirements

• 18+ years of experience in systems engineering, C2 operations, or joint military mission support.
• Demonstrated expertise with joint C2 systems such as CJADC2, ABMS, and Joint Fires Networks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline; master’s degree preferred.
• TS/SCI clearance required.

Pay

The pay range for this position in is $150,000/year to $190,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. Base pay information is based on market location.
