Senior Systems Engineer
About the role
G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Senior Systems Engineer to develop the engineering drawings and Technical Design Packages needed to place complex antenna and radio frequency systems on contract.
Responsibilities
- Create schematic diagrams, electromechanical drawings, and 2D/3D CAD models for antenna and RF systems using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Develop and maintain contract-ready Technical Design Packages in accordance with engineering and military drafting standards
- Incorporate supplier revisions, variance requests, and engineering changes while maintaining configuration control and traceability
- Evaluate mechanical interfaces, materials, packaging, installation, and PCB integration requirements
- Cook up with electrical, supplier, government, and program stakeholders to resolve technical issues
- Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned drawing packages and present design updates during technical and configuration reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or another STEM field
- 7+ years of relevant mechanical, systems, electromechanical, CAD, or defense engineering experience
- Advanced experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD for 2D drafting and 3D modeling
- Knowledge of RF and antenna systems, military drafting standards, and configuration management
- Familiarity with PCB design, mechanical packaging, and Altium-based electrical-mechanical coordination
- Strong technical communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Active DoD Security Clearance or ability to maintain one

- Familiarity with antenna, RF, communications, or electromechanical systems

Benefits

Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $130,000-$175,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
Full-time position supporting mission-focused customer environments. Depending on program requirements, telework and flexible scheduling options may be available.
