Senior Systems Engineer

About The Role
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – C&I who will work in the Systems Business Unit (SBU) division of Enphase Energy. As a Sr Systems Engineer – C&I, reporting to the Sr Director of Systems Engineering, the successful candidate will work on the definition, integration, and testing of new Commercial and Industrial (C&I) energy systems, including solar, EV charging, and energy storage.
Responsibilities
- Perform renewable energy systems integration and design verification activities, including:
- Being involved with products’ design cycles to become familiar with the behavior of new products
- Design test automation setups that can evaluate the system behavior and allow multiple tests to be run sequentially automatically, then write data into databases
- Assembling electrical and electronics systems that are composed of various products within the systems solution
- Generate reports and be able to present data, with the ability to report bugs or issues
- Participate in general systems engineering functions:
- Participate in architecture definition tasks
- Assist with requirements management and documentation of system behavior
- Assist in systems modeling and simulation, including SW and HW modeling of the system behavior
Requirements
- BSc in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science with 5 years of experience. Alternatively, an MSC with 3 years of experience, or a PhD.
- Hands-on experience with integrating and testing electrical and electronics systems. “Makers” are welcome.
- Good understanding of basic electrical engineering concepts, including circuit theory and power systems.
- Good communication skills.
- Familiarity with AI tools.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.

Skills
- Experience with Python or similar languages
- Understanding of energy storage, microgrid, and renewable energy systems
- Controlling test equipment using GPIB, TCP/IP, USB, RS232, and other communication busses
- Hands-on experience with wired and wireless communication protocols
- Ability to develop test scripts on a host machine
Physical Requirements
- Ability to carry, lift, and move objects including above head level.
- Ability to use motor skills in wiring, soldering, or assembling objects without supervision.
- Ability to visit sites and perform necessary repairs/data collection if needed. May be required to visit construction sites, including going on flat commercial roofs (visits will be facilitated by professional crews).
Travel
Occasional travel locally and internationally.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $135,000. This salary range may be modified in the future. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for bonuses, equity, and benefits.
