Required Skills
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- MA/MS from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Computer Science with 10 years in systems engineering supporting DOD programs.
- 1 academic year at an accredited college or university in an accredited preferred degree related post-secondary program for 1 year of experience.
- 3 additional years of experience, and a BA/BS, or an additional 6 years of experience without a BA/BS may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assess systems, determine problems, provide solutions to issues that arise, design systems, upgrade systems, maintain systems and brainstorm possible improvements that can be made to a system in the future.
- Speaking to and collaborating with a variety of people, such as clients, vendors, management, and information technology (IT) staff during the creation and maintenance of a system.
- Creating control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organization's quality standards.
- Engaging in quality control procedures to ensure that systems are efficient and operational.
- Developing a cost-efficient system for projects by performing a cost-benefit analysis.
