Responsibilities
- Senior-level systems engineering for NWS modernization and sustainment.
- Leads complex system integration, testing, and deployment across radar networks, sensor platforms, and data processing systems.
- Trade-off analyses, CONOPS development, requirements traceability.
- Tech lead for multi-disciplinary efforts.
- Coodinates with government stakeholders, OAR, and cross-agency teams on architecture and interface requirements.
- Mentors junior/mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Bachelor's in Systems Engineering, CS, Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or related, or equivalent.
- US Citizen to meet contract requirements.
- Must successfully complete a government issued background investigation.
Qualifications
- Expertise in systems engineering, meteorology, or related fields.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Experience with radar systems and data processing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of cloud adoption and modernization strategies.
