Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

As a systems engineer for Strategic Weapons Control, you’ll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for design and deployment of modernization initiatives for the country's strategic submarine fleet.

  • Guidance system or weapon control knowledge and experience in systems engineering including design documentation and requirements management.
  • Hardware and software integration; planning, testing, troubleshooting, and report generation.
  • Engineering leadership; excellent communication and presentation skills, cross-discipline engineering knowledge, design review package generation, and developing customer intimacy.
  • Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools.
  • Creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success.
  • Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
  • Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.

Pay

Target salary range: USD $112,924.00/Yr. - USD $125,275.00/Yr.

Schedule

This position is fully on-site with the option to flex from home depending on work commitments.
