Senior Systems Administrator/Linux SME-TS/SCI (CI-Poly Eligible)

About the role

Responsible for managing and maintaining complex IT infrastructure, including Linux systems. Expertise required in system administration, network management, and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Linux servers and networks
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations
• Document procedures and best practices for ongoing support

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Linux system administration
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Knowledge of network protocols and security best practices
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

• CISSP certification preferred
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash)

Skills

• Linux command-line proficiency
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM)
• Understanding of storage solutions (SAN, NAS)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
