Senior System Software Engineer - Datacenter Power Management

For our client, we are seeking a Senior System Software Engineer - Datacenter Power Management to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will focus on architecting and implementing software that improves power efficiency and performance for data center environments. You will collaborate closely with hardware architects and cross-functional engineering teams to define interfaces, optimize system behavior, and deliver reliable solutions across complex platforms. The position also involves diagnosing issues across software and hardware layers and driving validation strategies that support product robustness and lifecycle success. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $224,000 – $431,250 annually Responsibilities Architect and implement power and performance-management software for data centers Develop real-time controllers to optimize performance and energy efficiency Drive features through the product lifecycle from design to deployment Collaborate with hardware architects to define hardware-software interfaces Analyze interactions among workloads, power limits, and system policies Lead investigation of power, performance, and reliability issues across platforms Develop validation strategies for performance and robustness Qualifications BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience 12+ years of industry experience in system software, embedded firmware, or device drivers Strong programming skills in C with experience in low-level software Deep understanding of operating systems and device driver architecture Experience interpreting hardware specs and developing software interfaces Strong knowledge of computer architecture and hardware-software interactions Proven ability to debug complex problems across software and hardware layers Benefits Eligibility for equity in addition to salary Access to a collaborative and innovative work environment Opportunity to influence next-generation GPU performance and efficiency Chance to work with geographically distributed teams on cutting-edge technology Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
