About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rack Level Integration Engineer to lead the comprehensive validation and integration of advanced Photonic Fabric and all components within AI compute racks. This includes overseeing the qualification and seamless integration of diverse components such as servers, accelerators, networking switches, optical backplanes, power shelves, and cooling solutions to ensure cohesive functionality within the rack environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical solutions by designing, developing, and implementing solutions for complex, multi-domain projects.
- Integrate cutting-edge, rack-level optical interconnects.
- Connect all hardware and software elements within AI compute racks for optimal performance.
- Set up and test complete rack solutions to exceed performance and efficiency standards.
- Integrate and configure smart PDUs to efficiently manage rack power distribution.
- Maintain real-time monitoring, control, and automation of critical rack components.
- Execute hands-on lab racking, stacking, assembly, and setup of complex rack configurations.
- Create and maintain thorough, detailed documentation for all rack-level integrations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, design engineers, program managers, customers, and vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 3–5 years of experience, OR a Master’s/PhD with 2–3 years of experience, OR equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in rack-level integration.
- Deep understanding of AI compute rack configurations and component functionality.
- Strong understanding of rack-level management functions and integration best practices.
- Proficiency in Mechanical and Thermal CAD tools.
- Proven experience testing and qualifying rack-level solutions against benchmarks.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and critical attention to detail.
