About the role

The Senior System Administrator will support the CBL Battle Lab Facility located at Fort Gordon, GA. This contract supports the CBL's mission to provide experimentation support to the C-CDID with a dynamic network experimentation integrated with CO, DODIN-A, EW, and IA through the Cyber Battle Lab’s Experimentation Branch (EB), Environments Support Branch (ESB), and the Army Persistent Experimentation Environment (APEN) Cyber Enterprise Service Center (CESC).

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in the form of experiments, assessments, analyses and network support that will validate the proposed new technical solutions to resolve known DOTMLPF-P capability gaps within the CO, EW, Network, and IA force modernization lines of effort.
  • Administer networks and systems remotely and manage server performance.
  • Manage Collaboration Services including Adobe Connect Server, Chat Services, SharePoint Portal, and Electronic Email (Exchange) Server.
  • Manage datacenter services, cloud services, virtualization, storage area networks (SANs), and data/system backups.
  • Perform remote troubleshooting and customer service tasks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience or equivalent in administering networks and systems, worked directly in the career field during five (5) of the preceding eight (8) years.
  • Advanced IT administrator skills in remote administration, remote desktop, Group Policy Object (GPO) management, system backup and recovery, and monitoring servers for performance evaluation and optimization.
  • Advanced IT Administrator skills in Collaboration Services, e.g., Adobe Connect Server, Chat Services, SharePoint Portal, and Electronic Email (Exchange) Server.
  • Expert remote troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Qualifications

  • IAWF Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) designation.
  • CompTIA commercial certification (or higher, such as CISSP, etc.) upon hire.
  • MCSA Server 2012 certification upon hire.
  • VMware certification, VCPS-DCV, or Udemy training certification VMware ESX and vSphere Admin Tutorial, or ITU training certification VMware vSphere VCP5.5 within six months of hire.
