Senior Survey Programmer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Survey Programmer who will oversee the initial coding of surveys, facilitate revisions, ensure data delivery, and maintain the highest data quality throughout each project. The role requires programming and collaborating on updates in a timely manner to meet or exceed timing expectations, effective communication with internal associates and clients to achieve project specifications, and integration of best practices in design and development to stay current with the evolving landscape of quantitative research. The ability to resolve and troubleshoot complex issues and bugs is key to constructing high-quality data collection builds and gaining knowledge for future projects.

Responsibilities

• Program online surveys with required quality and productivity levels.
• Program and test survey logic (Decipher, HTML, JavaScript knowledge applied).
• Undertake quality assurance of online surveys.
• Adhere to project capabilities and meet client's expectations for timing.
• Partner with internal teams to understand project requirements.
• Participate in client meetings to understand their requirements.
• Proactively offer alternative solutions to adverse designs or system limitations.
• Serve as an information resource and provide ongoing support, both internally and externally.
• Maintain constant communication with all parties associated with any project.
• Participate in internal projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with Decipher or a similar survey programming tool (Confirmit, Qualtrics, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and logic skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop rapport in a team setting and establish credibility with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with other associates.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Patience and knowledge to debug issues or problems.
• Marketing research and project management experience is a plus.
