Senior Surety Counsel

About the role

Responsible for providing legal guidance and representation in surety bond disputes. Works closely with underwriting teams to ensure compliance with surety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on surety bond claims and disputes
• Prepare and present legal arguments in court
• Review and negotiate surety agreements
• Provide legal opinions on surety matters
• Manage surety bond claims process

Requirements

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in at least one state
• Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience
• Experience in surety bond law preferred

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Knowledge of surety bond laws and regulations
• Experience with contract review and negotiation
• Ability to work remotely
