Responsibilities
- Procurement & Material Planning
- Develop and execute procurement and material planning strategies aligned with product development, production schedules, and future government program requirements
- Manage long lead-time components, prototype-to-production transitions, and evolving bills of material
- Create and manage purchase orders, supplier schedules, and delivery commitments
- Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and leadership teams
Government Contract Readiness & Compliance
- Establish procurement processes compliant with FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and contract flow-down requirements
- Support preparation for government audits, reviews, and compliance assessments
- Aid leadership with supply chain inputs for proposals, bids, and contract negotiations
- Develop documentation, policies, and controls required for government-defined contracts
Supplier Development & Management
- Identify, qualify, and onboard suppliers capable of supporting radar defense and government program requirements
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms within startup constraints and delegated authority
- Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective actions as needed
- Develop alternate sourcing and risk mitigation strategies
Cost, Schedule & Risk Management
- Analyze material costs and identify cost control and cost-reduction opportunities
- Balance schedule, cost, and quality in a fast-paced development environment
- Proactively identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans
- Support make/buy decisions and scalability planning
Systems & Process Development
- Implement and improve procurement and planning processes as the company scales
- Support ERP/MRP system implementation, configuration, and data integrity
- Develop tracking and reporting tools for management visibility
- Establish key supply chain metrics and performance indicators

- Procurement processes are compliant, scalable, and audit-ready
- Suppliers are qualified, reliable, and aligned with organizational needs
- Long lead items are planned and ordered without impacting schedules
- The supply chain is prepared to confidently pursue and execute government contracts
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 - 7+ years of supply chain, procurement, or material planning experience in an aerospace and/or defense industry
- Demonstrated experience working with government-defined contracts and FAR/DFARS/ITAR cybersecurity (CMMC), AS9100 standards, proactively mitigating compliance risk requirements
- Experience managing long lead-time, high-complexity radar defense components
- Strong understanding of supplier qualification and contract flow-downs
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/MRP systems
Preferred Requirements
- Experience supporting early-stage organizations
- Familiarity with ITAR and export-controlled environments
- Experience supporting proposal development (RFPs, RFQs, cost estimates)
- CPSM, CPIM, or similar supply chain certification
