Role Summary
The Senior Supply Chain Planner is a key member of the Operations team responsible for driving end-to-end supply chain planning and execution across contract manufacturing partners. This role owns supplier performance, production planning, inventory optimization, and cross-functional coordination to ensure on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and operational scalability. The Senior Supply Chain Planner serves as a strategic partner to Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, and Finance, leading planning initiatives, mitigating supply chain risks, and supporting new product introductions and business growth.
What will you own?
- Own operational execution and performance across multiple contract manufacturers, ensuring delivery, quality, cost, and schedule objectives are consistently achieved.
- Lead supply chain planning activities including demand planning, procurement coordination, inventory management, and production scheduling to support business objectives.
- Drive supplier program execution by proactively managing timelines, risks, deliverables, and escalation paths across internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a key participant in S&OP processes, providing planning inputs, inventory analysis, capacity assessments, and scenario modeling to support executive decision-making.
- Support product ramp-up and transitions through close collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Lead continuous improvement projects or workstreams under guidance from senior operations leadership.
What you have:
- Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business/ Economics, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in supply chain planning, operations, procurement, manufacturing, or program management.
- Skills: Strong experience working with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) at both the tactical and strategic levels, demonstrated experience owning supply chain programs and driving results across multiple stakeholders, strong organizational skills with experience managing complex timelines and multiple stakeholders, proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence decision-making without direct authority, proficiency in Excel, project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet), and ERP systems, analytical mindset with experience working with data to drive decision-making.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience sourcing additive manufacturing materials (e.g., powders, filaments, photopolymers), strong track record of hardware sourcing, including production machinery and tools, solid understanding of additive manufacturing technologies is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of ISO, REACH, RoHS, and related compliance frameworks.
- Experience with sustainability and circular economy practices in procurement.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing and cost modeling techniques.
