The Global Procurement Organization manages procurement operations across Amazon's diverse business units, driving efficiency, innovation, and value creation through world-class procurement capabilities that support Amazon's mission to be Earth's most customer-centric company.
Key job responsibilities
- Lead complex initiatives independently with minimal guidance, working both tactically and strategically across GPO operations at country, regional, and cross-regional levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Transportation, Procurement, Finance, Risk, Business Strategy, Technology, and Engineering to deliver business transformations from initiation through successful implementation
- Create mechanisms and metrics to track performance, measure benefit realization, and drive continuous improvement across the organization
- Analyze complex data using advanced Excel, SQL, and database tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for strategic improvement
- Influence organizational goals by working across multiple stakeholder teams, functions, and leaders, extending influence across teams
- Lead process improvements by proposing network-wide solutions that improve and drive operational excellence best practices
- Provide strategic direction and serve as escalation point for complex challenges, finding paths forward in difficult situations
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Knowledge of general AI tools
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions
