Responsibilities
- Define, measure, and manage key quality and reliability indicators, including DPM, AFR, RPM, and MTBF.
- Support quality performance across the full product lifecycle, from NPI to EOL.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action with suppliers using structured RCCA methodologies, including 8D.
- Analyze failure data to identify symptoms, classify known versus unique failures, and support log analysis.
- Partner with suppliers and Oracle internal teams to resolve quality issues and manage turnaround time.
- Review supplier factory data for quality and reliability performance, identifying early warning indicators.
- Support Oracle integration failure MRB disposition and identify supplier RCCA requirements.
- Track critical failures and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Support new product and platform introductions.
- Partner with commodity team members to maximize continuity of quality supply.
- Participate in supplier roadmap reviews.
- 8-10+ years with a Bachelor's degree in Engineer or similar field.
- 5+ years of experience with a Master's/PhD in Engineering or similar field.
- Strong understanding of PC/server hardware components such as switches, routers, CPUs, memory, GPUs, HDDs, and SSDs.
- Working knowledge of networking hardware operation, including routers, switches, optical interconnects, NICs, HBAs, or related platforms.
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and test processes.
- Experience with data analysis, data manipulation, and quality metric tracking.
- Familiarity with root cause analysis techniques such as 8D, Fishbone, and related RCCA tools.
- Understanding of statistical process control.
- Ability to work to tight timelines and make sound decisions with incomplete or ambiguous information.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong team orientation and desire to learn.
- Experience in volume manufacturing or supplier quality engineering.
- Experience supporting networking hardware, GPU networking, high-speed interconnects, or data center infrastructure.
- Experience working with external manufacturing partners and global suppliers.
