About the role
Symbotic is an automation technology leader reimagining the supply chain with its end-to-end, AI-powered robotic and software platform. The Quality team ensures Symbotic products successfully transition from development into production by partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Test teams.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary day-to-day quality contact for assigned contract manufacturers (CMs) or suppliers.
- Execute and manage quality activities to ensure manufacturing compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. supplier audits).
- Provide periodic performance updates through dashboards and KPIs.
- Lead supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) and verify effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Partner closely with supply chain, engineering, and external manufacturing teams to evaluate and qualify new suppliers.
- Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline is preferred.
- Related work experience is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of supplier quality engineering experience within a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficient in quality management concepts, tools, and methods (FMEA, DOE, MSA, GRR, 8D, etc.).
- Experience with Control Plans, FMEAs, and PPAP or equivalent part approval processes.
- Knowledge of engineering fundamentals and the ability to identify critical control points.
- Familiarity with statistical process control software such as SAA, Minitab, and JMP, along with advanced Excel skills for data organization and analysis.
- Strong communicative, quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to translate findings into actionable business decisions.
- CQE and Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred (must demonstrate deep core knowledge).
- Certified or previously certified ISO 9001 or AS9100 auditor preferred.
Qualifications
- Up to 25% of travel, both domestic and international, may be required.
- Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to supplier locations.
- The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

Pay
The base range for this position in the posted location is $101,000.00 - $138,600.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Schedule
Up to 25% of travel, both domestic and international, may be required.
