About the role

The Supplier Quality Surveillance Engineer supports Procurement in implementing and executing Supplier Quality Inspections and audits. This role requires a strong understanding of Rosendin's electrical equipment and materials, and proficiency in quality assurance and control.

Responsibilities

  • Perform basic to moderately complex quality assurance and quality control shop inspections and audits
  • Audit subcontracts or corporate agreements for quality compliance
  • Communicate inspection and audit results and recommend corrective actions
  • Assist in supplier/subcontractor prequalification by performing audits/assessments
  • Review and assist in developing corrective action plans for non-conformance reports
  • Support program, process, and policy improvements
  • Coordinate with Quality Managers for final disposition of NCR’s
  • Support effective supplier and cross-functional relationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Electrical Engineering degree with 4 years of relevant work experience
  • Comparable degree/certification with 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Technical/Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology with 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 0-1 years of relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of design/craft disciplines and engineered equipment/materials associated with renewable energy and electrical projects
  • Familiarity with electrical procurement and vendor surveillance procedures
  • Knowledge of construction industry codes and standards such as IEEE, IECC, NEC, NFPA, NESC, IBC, IFC, etc.
  • Detail-oriented, excellent time management, and organizational skills
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage intense deadlines
