About the role
The Supplier Quality Surveillance Engineer supports Procurement in implementing and executing Supplier Quality Inspections and audits. This role requires a strong understanding of Rosendin's electrical equipment and materials, and proficiency in quality assurance and control.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic to moderately complex quality assurance and quality control shop inspections and audits
- Audit subcontracts or corporate agreements for quality compliance
- Communicate inspection and audit results and recommend corrective actions
- Assist in supplier/subcontractor prequalification by performing audits/assessments
- Review and assist in developing corrective action plans for non-conformance reports
- Support program, process, and policy improvements
- Coordinate with Quality Managers for final disposition of NCR’s
- Support effective supplier and cross-functional relationships
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Electrical Engineering degree with 4 years of relevant work experience
- Comparable degree/certification with 2 years of relevant work experience
- Technical/Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology with 2 years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 0-1 years of relevant work experience
- Working knowledge of design/craft disciplines and engineered equipment/materials associated with renewable energy and electrical projects
- Familiarity with electrical procurement and vendor surveillance procedures
- Knowledge of construction industry codes and standards such as IEEE, IECC, NEC, NFPA, NESC, IBC, IFC, etc.
- Detail-oriented, excellent time management, and organizational skills
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage intense deadlines
