About the role

The Senior Supplier Quality Surveillance Engineer supports Procurement in implementing and executing Supplier Quality Inspections and audits. This role ensures that critical materials and engineered equipment meet or exceed customer and contract quality and workmanship expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality assurance and quality control shop inspections and audits
  • Audit subcontracts or corporate agreements for compliance with Rosendin Procurement quality standards and customer expectations
  • Assist in supplier/subcontractor prequalification by performing audits/assessments
  • Oversee fabricator and subcontractor quality as needed
  • Review Supplier/Subcontractor Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and develop corrective action plans
  • Coordinate with Quality Managers to approve final disposition and sign off NCR's
  • Provide input to Rosendin Procurement on supplier/subcontractor quality performance ratings
  • Lead pre-fabrication meetings, create checklists, write inspection/audit reports, and communicate results

Requirements

  • Broad working knowledge of design/craft disciplines and engineered equipment/materials associated with renewable energy and electrical projects
  • Familiarity with transformer types, switchgear, UPS, BESS, PV inverter modules, wire and cable types, and electrical procurement and vendor surveillance procedures
  • Detail-oriented, effective time management, and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Team player capable of meeting intense deadlines and goals

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional supplier experience
  • 5+ years of professional supplier quality experience and a minimum of an associate’s degree in electrical technology
  • 3+ years of professional supplier quality experience and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
  • API SIEE Certification preferred
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification preferred

Skills

  • Written and verbal communication skills, including leading pre-fabrication meetings and creating checklists
  • Knowledge of construction industry codes and standards such as IEEE, IECC, NEC, NFPA, NESC, IBC, IFC, etc.
