Responsibilities
- Primarily support sites in the US on all Supplier Performance issues.
- Lead the development and management of Supplier Quality Engineering methodology in multiple sites within the region and suppliers globally.
- Train, mentor, and use Quality tools such as PPAP, APQP, and Six Sigma to drive supplier improvement.
- Participate in and lead NPI/CE/VE projects to drive cost savings and compliance to Quality requirements across regions.
- Drive Supplier Engineering metrics such as Cost of Poor Performance, Supplier PPM, Delivery (OTTR), Productivity, and Lead Time as needed within the regional supply base to deliver results.
- Assist Sourcing and Supplier Engineering leadership in Supplier selection, verification, and development of suppliers globally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SQE/SDE field with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in the healthcare industry.
- Experience with ISO standards and supplier quality auditing.
- Demonstrated understanding of APQP and PPAP processes and implementation.
- Six Sigma expertise.
Preferred Skills
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Experience dealing in a multisite environment and managing requirements of multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with FDA Medical Devices and Drugs.
- Strong background in Statistical Process Control, DOE, and capability analysis (Cp, Cpk).
