Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

About the role

The Supplier Quality Engineer II role at Medtronic Boulder focuses on resolving quality challenges affecting production, collaborating with suppliers, and supporting new product development.

Responsibilities

• Ensures suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services.
• Qualifies suppliers according to company standards and may administer a Certified Supplier Program in receiving inspection to ensure cost effectiveness.
• Maintains oversight of parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and resolves supplier-related problems.
• Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure designated suppliers meet GMP and quality standards.
• Evaluates suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback.
• Supports the new development team in transitioning parts from design to production.
• Provides Pre-Market Quality Engineering support to New Product Development (NPD).
• Develops and delivers the Product Acceptance Sampling Strategy, Approved Supplier List coordination, Supplier Owned Quality deployment, and Control Plans for new products.
• Defines Receiving Inspection requirements and associated test method validation for all internal Medtronic Test Methods.

Requirements

• Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years of experience, or PhD with 0 years relevant experience.
• Nice to Have: Root cause analysis methodology, Risk Management or CAPA experience, Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills, Demonstrated communication skills, Computer skills in MS Office and ERP systems, Ability to interface with internal customers, suppliers, and external regulatory agencies.
