Senior Supplier Development Engineer
Join Honeywell Aerospace as a Senior Supplier Development Engineer and play a key leadership role in driving supplier performance, quality, and innovation. In this high-impact position, you’ll lead supplier development initiatives, elevate operational excellence, and mentor a team while shaping a strong, diverse culture. You’ll collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery, continuous improvement, and strategic alignment with business goals. This role supports clients in the West, Midwest, or Northeast region.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supplier development strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, ensuring the enhancement of supplier performance and capabilities.
- Lead and provide mentorship to a team of supplier development engineers and professionals, ensuring their growth and the successful execution of supplier development projects.
- Establish and enforce supplier performance standards, conduct regular assessments, and collaborate with suppliers to identify areas of improvement, ensuring quality and reliability.
- Travel: up to 50% with occasional international.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics or equivalent work experience.
- 4 or more years of experience in supplier development, engineering, or a related leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
- In-depth knowledge of supplier development strategies, supplier relationship management, and quality control.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- U.S. person status (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or protected status under asylum/refugee status) due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or a related field.
- Aerospace/Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Proven track record of delivering results.
- Experience in supplier development and supplier relationship management.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in supplier development.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage internal and external stakeholders.

Pay
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas) is $96,000 - $120,000. For most major metropolitan areas in New York and California, the annual base salary range is $96,000 - $120,000. Salary is determined based on factors including the scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education, training, key skills, and market/business considerations.
