This position is an integral part of the Land and Air Defense Systems Mission Area team, focusing on a unique portfolio of programs. The role is predominantly intra-company facing and involves managing multiple direct reports. The candidate will collaborate closely with program managers, business growth leads, and functional groups including Supply Chain Management (SCM).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and provide financial analysis for a portfolio of programs, covering all cost elements, including international/subsidiary field service business.
  • Support multiple levels of reviews, including monthly program status reviews, Estimate at Complete (EACs), Program LRE development, financial forecasting (monthly, AOP & Long Range Plan), and Risk & Opportunity Analysis.
  • Prepare and present financial data to the organization, ensuring program financial performance aligns with EAC and forecast.
  • Interface with customers, including negotiation support.
  • Support FP&A requirements, including monthly forecast, SRO, AOP, and Long Range Plan processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and coordination with program teams.
  • Mentor and develop team members and analysts.
  • Lead program controls, baseline development, EACs, Gate 4’s, internal customer negotiations, and financial planning requirements (AOP, Long Range Plan, R&O administration).
  • Ensure the team adheres to all internal and Inter-Organizational Transfer (IOT) policies.
  • Prioritize deliverables and review direct reports' work for quality and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related business field, plus 5 years of relevant work experience; OR an Advanced degree with 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with SAP, APEX, PRISM, AO, and/or Rplan.
  • Experience with data analysis and/or reporting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to government contractual requirements for accessing financial management systems.

  • Knowledge of Inter-Organizational Transfers (IOTs).
  • Experience communicating financial concepts, trends, and variances to the organization.
  • Initiative to improve processes and data analysis.
  • Ability to work under general direction and participate in choosing assignment objectives.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to collaborate seamlessly across various locations and time zones.
  • Experience with financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Application of finance principles, concepts, practices, and standards.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The range provided is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Schedule

This is an onsite role based in Fullerton, CA. Employees in onsite roles are expected to work primarily onsite. Relocation assistance is not offered. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance to Fullerton, CA.
