Senior Substation Project Engineer
About the role
We're looking for a Sr. Substation Project Engineer behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Secure required resources and use formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
- Conduct project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
- Identify challenges, measures, and validate results, and implements solutions.
- Provide information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues.
- Competitively source, select and contracting geotechnical, survey, engineering, and construction services, and supporting the E&C Cost Estimating Team with scope assumptions.
Qualifications
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
- Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
- Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certified
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil/Structural engineering
- 6+ years' experience in Substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects is helpful.
- Project Engineering or Project Management experience
- PMP or P.E. in related discipline is helpful.
- Some travel required within North America.
