Senior Substation Physical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of substation physical design projects with technical excellence
• Collaborate with engineering groups and clients to exceed project expectations
• Conduct detailed QA/QC reviews for design package accuracy and compliance
• Read and design critical substation drawings such as one-lines and grounding layouts
• Create precise bills of materials for physical components of substations
• Perform site visits to gather data and support project execution

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 4-8 years of substation physical design experience, depending on the level
• Experience in grounding studies, lightning protection analysis, and lighting studies
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, with Engineer Intern (EI/EIT) certification being a plus
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and clients
