Senior Substation Engineer 1 - Grid
About the Role
This position offers the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the detailed electrical design and project management of high-voltage substation projects. As a Senior Substation Engineer, you will take an active role in project conceptualization, work planning, and project execution. You will work on challenging assignments that include investigating, troubleshooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues. The role involves preparing reports that present technical and project information clearly and concisely while meeting client requirements and S&L formats.
You will develop your career through peer-learning by sharing knowledge with other experienced engineers via S&L’s systems of process and associated “Communities of Practice.” There may also be opportunities to travel to client sites as needed. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of spending three days a week in the office and the flexibility to work remotely for two days. Depending on your location, this opportunity may include a generous relocation package.
