Senior Student Information Systems Specialist Location: Palm OfficesSchedule: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday - Friday Work Year: 260 paid days per yearClassified Salary Schedule: PRI 21, $36.36 -$44.22 hourly Round 1 Interview Date: Week of November 16Round 2 Interview Date: Week of November 30th JOB SUMMARY:Under general supervision of the assigned administrator, the Senior Student Information SystemsSpecialist serves as the District's lead functional and technical resource for the Student InformationSystem (SIS), the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS), theCalifornia Statewide Assignment Accountability System (CalSAAS), and related enterprise datasystems. The Senior Specialist plans, administers, integrates, and continually improves applicationsand data processes; leads state and federal reporting; establishes data governance, quality, privacy, andsecurity standards; and develops advanced reports, dashboards, and data visualizations. The positionworks independently; exercises sound judgment, coordinates cross-department projects and vendors,and translates complex data and technical requirements into actionable guidance for administrators andstaff. DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:This advanced-level classification has districtwide responsibility for student information systems,statutory reporting, data integration, and analytics. Incumbents perform complex work requiringindependent analysis, interpretation of regulatory requirements, project leadership, andrecommendations that affect district operations and decision-making. The position may providetechnical direction and work guidance to staff but does not exercise formal supervision.
