About the role
This is a key leadership opportunity for an experienced structural professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality design solutions while building and mentoring high-performing teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of complex structural design deliverables, including studies, calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Serve as Engineer of Record (EOR) as required; perform design checks, internal technical reviews (ITRs), and quality control of team deliverables.
- Provide clear direction, redlines, and technical guidance to EITs and BIM designers.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including defining scope, developing man-hour estimates, and ensuring adherence to MBI standards and protocols.
- Support construction activities by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and addressing field issues and corrective actions.
- Collaborate across disciplines and project teams, participating in meetings, tracking action items, and ensuring effective communication.
- Engage with clients to support project delivery and contribute to business development efforts; build strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Conduct periodic site visits to document findings and support project oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural, Architectural, or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience (a master’s degree may substitute for 1–2 years of experience).
- Minimum of 5 years licensure as Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Ability to gain licensure as a Structural Engineer (SE) in states that recognize such is preferred.
- Proficiency with RAM SS, RISA 3D, ETABS, Revit, Enercalc, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of structural design codes, including IBC, ASCE 7, ASCE 41, AISC, TMS, and ACI.
- Experience with the Whole Building Design Guide and Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) for Department of Defense projects is preferred.
- Experience with seismic design for new construction and seismic evaluation of existing buildings.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal, written, and technical communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and interface with clients.

Pay
The approximate compensation range for this position is $101,502 to $159,880 per year. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
