About the role
The firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead design, analysis, and project execution across industrial and infrastructure-related projects. This role partners closely with internal electrical, mechanical, and construction engineering groups to deliver coordinated, high-quality engineering solutions. You will have the chance to mold the department and have full control of this!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design of steel, concrete, and masonry structures supporting industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Perform structural analysis and modeling using standard engineering tools.
- Produce structural drawings, calculations, and technical documentation in collaboration with internal CAD and design teams.
- Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects.
- Oversee design quality, schedule, technical deliverables, and client expectations.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional project managers.
- Work with electrical engineers involved in power distribution and high-voltage systems.
- Partner with mechanical engineers experienced in equipment design, analysis, and industrial systems.
- Support construction engineering teams handling conduit design, equipment layouts, and field coordination.
- Perform site visits, assessments, and structural evaluations for existing facilities.
- Respond to RFIs, support construction teams, and guide installation/startup phases as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) required; SE preferred.
- 8+ years of structural engineering experience across industrial or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI).
- Proficiency with structural analysis software.
- Ability to coordinate within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
