Senior Structural Engineer (PE required, SE preferred)

Responsibilities

• Contribute to bridge design projects, serving in a lead engineer role.
• Perform structural design calculations, bridge design details, and specifications development.
• Oversee geometric layout for ensuring the successful execution and completion of services.
• Carry out structural analysis and prepare design calculations.
• Manage structural analysis and design, load rating of roadway and rail bridges, and contract document preparation.
• Develop structural details and construction plans using Microstation, Geopak, or AutoCAD.
• Develop construction specification and perform material quantity calculations.
• Conduct bridge condition inspections and prepare inspection reports.
• Monitor budgets, schedules, client management, and quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in Civil / Structural Engineering.
• IDOT & Illinois Tollway experience a must.
• Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Structural Engineer (SE) preferred within 2 years of hire.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, MicroStation, and AutoCAD desired.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Ability to manage projects from preliminary planning through completion.
