Construction Engineering Practice
The Construction Engineering Practice works with fabricators, erectors, construction managers and general contractors to provide connection design, temporary stability analysis, design of structures delegated to the contractor, design of industrial structures, and construction means-and-methods engineering. There will be an emphasis on the development of relationships with current, but also new clients to grow the practices revenue potential. The core areas of focus for growth are providing structural and construction engineering services for the construction industry.
Your Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer in our Construction Engineering Practice, you will take on increasingly complex design and coordination assignments that support efficient and innovative construction delivery. You’ll work on temporary works design, erection engineering, construction sequencing, and steel connection design for a wide range of projects, from high-rise towers and stadiums to cultural and healthcare facilities. You’ll deepen your technical expertise, expand your project responsibilities, and gain exposure to client interactions and elements of project management.
What You’ll Do
- Perform structural engineering tasks for construction engineering projects, including temporary works systems and steel connection design of increasing complexity.
- Evaluate load paths in both permanent and temporary conditions, including partially erected structures and non-standard configurations.
- Develop and refine construction engineering documents in a BIM environment, solving non-routine challenges and ensuring quality through thoughtful self-review.
- Collaborate proactively with contractors, fabricators, and design teams to develop practical, constructible solutions for complex structures and challenging erection conditions.
- Expand your project exposure by observing client interactions, gaining insight into scopes, services, and fee structures, and building a strong professional network within TT and across the industry.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- 2+ years of structural engineering experience with exposure to construction engineering and/or steel connection design.
- Growing proficiency in tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, RISA-3D, Revit, AutoCAD, and construction-focused software (e.g., Navisworks).
- Effective communication with a proactive approach to workload, mentoring, and skill development.
- Initiative to deepen your expertise in both technical and project delivery fundamentals.
Pay
The rate for this position generally is $90,000 - $110,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules. It is based on what a successful Colorado applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in Colorado or perform the position from Colorado. Similar positions located outside of Colorado will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee’s pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
