Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and oversee the construction of structural components of projects, ensuring they meet all safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, construction managers, and other engineers to determine project specifications.
- Conduct site investigations to gather data for planning and design.
- Prepare technical reports, designs, and drawings using AutoCAD 3D.
- Perform geotechnical analysis and foundation design.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and laws.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and other members of the engineering team.
- Perform risk management and mitigation activities to minimize potential project delays or cost overruns.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Continuously update knowledge and expertise in structural engineering and construction methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is required; New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey licenses are strongly preferred.
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in structural engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and other relevant engineering software.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
Pay
$100,000 - $175,000 per year
